Classes

Toddler class introduces ballet and creative movement to music. Dancers develop coordination, primary moving skills, self-confidence, classroom etiquette, and sharing.\n\nKindergarten is a 60-minute basic foundations class in ballet and tap. Students develop rhythm, coordination, and creative movement, and they perform ballet and tap in the Spring Recital.\n\nCombination is a 60-minute pre-jazz and pre-ballet class. Students develop rhythm, coordination, and flexibility, and they perform ballet and jazz in the Spring Recital.

Ballet teaches grace, precision, and formal technique. Classes are leveled by age and ability. Dancers in level 5 and above attend twice weekly. Pointe students must also enroll in pre-pointe.

Pointe extends classical ballet technique onto pointe shoes. Students must be enrolled in pre-pointe and approved by the teacher before advancing to pointe.

Jazz is a stylized form of theatrical dancing influenced by American jazz music. Ballet is required for jazz students.

Tap focuses on rhythms made by the feet, with attention to timing and coordination. We offer three levels grouped by age and skill.

Contemporary combines modern, jazz, lyrical, and classical ballet into an expressive form that connects mind and body through fluid movement.

Musical Theatre runs in two sessions. From September through December the Academy session covers foundations through singing, dancing, and acting, ending with a Winter Showcase. From January through May the Performance session stages a full-scale musical with sets, props, and costumes at a professional auditorium in March, plus the Spring Recital in May.\n\nAuditions are held in December. Everyone receives a role and signs a rehearsal and performance contract.

Hip Hop teaches the latest movement in street dance, funk, and hip-hop. Classes build endurance, strength, rhythm, and timing.

Tumbling teaches gymnastics fundamentals that support cheerleading, dance, and overall fitness. Levels run from beginner elementary and teen classes through intermediate and advanced.
